Three departments are responsible for procuring most of the Authority's goods and services.

  • The planning and engineering department requests statements of qualifications, proposals and bids for planning and design studies, construction , demolition, testing and environmental services.

  • The properties department oversees all tenant-related leases and agreements as well as all revenue-producing contracts. The department also oversees all insurance and risk management issues for the Authority.

  • The purchasing and procurement department handles capital equipment, furniture, maintenance, repair, operating supplies (MRO), and personal services contracts.

The Louisville Regional Airport Authority (LRAA) is committed to a program for the participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE’s) and Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (ACDBE’s) in contracting opportunities in accordance with 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 23 and 26.

PUBLIC NOTICE

FROM THE LOUISVILLE REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY ("AUTHORITY") CONCERNING DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE ("DBE") WORK ON U. S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ("DOT") FUNDED CONTRACTS

In accordance with 49 CFR Part 26, the Authority hereby announces and gives notice that its overall goal for DBE participation in DOT-funded projects for FY 2009 (October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009) is 7.89%. A copy of the Authority’s DBE goal and rationale are available for inspection for 30 days from the date of this notice during normal business hours at the Authority’s principal office, which is Louisville Regional Airport Authority, 700 Administration Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40209.

The Authority and the U.S. Department of Transportation also hereby solicit public comment from any group or individual wishing to comment on the above DBE overall goal or rationale. Public comment will be accepted by the Authority and the U.S. Department of Transportation for 45 days from the date of this notice and should be submitted in writing to:
